Jam Handy Fest : a benefit for Clark Park youth programs

We are excited to play a part in the upcoming Jam Handy Fest - an event centered around PLAY + FUN, to not only bring together neighbours, friends and family - it also is a BENEFIT for CLARK PARK YOUTH PROGRAMS to help continue the wonderful work of friends and neighbours in southwest Detroit. The event is free, and food + drink and t-shirts will be available for purchase and donations are encouraged.  All proceeds will go to Clark Park youth programs.

The event will feature a series of swings by LAAVU, skateboard demonstrations by Rosa Parks Boys, local food + drink vendors including Midollo, Jesse Knot, Astro Coffee, Motor City Brewing Works and more. MUSIC: starting with the lovely DJ Amy Dreamcatcher, bands will follow at 8pm: Mexican Knives, Real Ghosts, Mountains and Rainbows and High Ring. This is a family friendly event. All ages are welcome!

We designed a swing!  We will present it in collaboration with our neighbors, Rosa Parks Boys, the skateboard cum art gallery and flexible space in Corktown, Detroit. Named L'Arramee, this is the first 'public' object and is part of an expanding line of LAAVU objects.

Come celebrate the swing's debut:
